Thinking Pink Hasn't Helped Find Causes of Breast Cancer

I agree that "the data aren't strong enough to make the case for a "breast cancer prevention diet," and that "there's frustration out there that we don't know more," but disagree that "the chapters on causes and prevention of the disease haven't changed that much over the past two decades". We do know that all cancers and tumors start in the DNA when the DNA mutates to the point that the cell forgets how to stop duplicating itself. Also, we know that many different things, but in a way only one thing, causes cancer in our bodies to get out of control- that is when your body's repair system cannot keep up with the repairs. Your body's repair system is based on your level of glutathione (GHS), your GHS level is based on many things. With Pubmed.gov listing 219,290 medical articles on breast cancer and 92,509 on glutathione, finding out what you do not know may be one of the most important things you do today. For more information on your repair system (your immune health and glutathione) do some research and get the information you need. One place for information is a web-site, created by me and my wife, from 5 years of research, reading hundreds of medical articles and clinical trials as well as consulting with a dozen or so doctors, (because of a mortal requirement for knowledge) - www.ImmuneHealthScience.com Knowledge is more precious than gold, find it and it will take care of you all the days of your life.

I still don't understand why Americans do painful x-rays instead of sonograms. Has anyone studied the rate of women taking preventative measures based on what measures are recommended?

Forget "low in animal fat", which makes the assumption that only a particular aspect of animal products could cause a problem. How do vegan breast cancer rates compare with omnivore breast cancer rates?

30 years ago. only one in ten women had breast cancer. What's changed since then ? The wide spread use of artificial hormones in birth control pills and menopause treatment.

THERE'S the cause of the striking rise of breast cancer which is now striking 3 in ten women.

The irony? Natural hormones could do the same job.

The catch ? No patents on natural hormones. Once again, the drug industry kills rather than cures.

"No mention of the risk increase of breast cancer due to abortions?? Why?? Perhaps because of the connection between the Susan G Komen Foundation and Planned Parenthood??"

No, because there is no risk increase. See here: http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/factsheet/risk/abortion-miscarriage

Specifically: "The newer studies consistently showed no association between induced and spontaneous abortions and breast cancer risk."

Be suspicious of anything an advocacy group tells you, whether pro or anti-abortion. Both sides throw out a lot of misinformation.

my wife worked in breast cancer research over 30 yrs ago and became very cynical of the complex of hospitals, doctors, agencies and big firms that were dependant on breast cancer dollar$ for their salaries, labs, projects, studies and traveling conferences. The disease way back then had already become a way to make $$'s not cure women. So the result years later... lot's of pink and still lot's of radical masectomys. funding doesn't cure or help prevent disease, just like it doesn't seem to make school kids a bit smarter.

"Shut it down. Amass a large singular award for a cure. Then watch it show up."

Brilliant! I second that!

Hundreds of billions of dollars and 40 years since President

Richard Nixon declared 'war on cancer'---and still no cure---but tons of facts and studies and comparisons and statistics in medical journals that no cares about; that no one reads; that are ignored not long after publication. Blindly financing "research" is not bringing a cure......it's generating bragging rights for universities who make their marks in academia not by 'curing' or discovering, but by boasting about who got the most research dollars.

Shut it down. Amass a large singular award for a cure. Then watch it show up.
