Chemo Alone Is Best for Advanced Colon Cancer

My sister was diagnosed with this cancer in 2007 in NY. She had surgery and chemo until 2008, in April this year the cancer had come back outside the colon and grown. She had a second surgery to remove a big mass and now is having chemo at Emory Winship in Atlanta, GA. I am afraid that the cancer will spreadand invade other organs. Is it possible to keep this cancer in control? What is the expectancy of life with chemo? Are we in the bes place for this type of cancer?
