66 people is not really very many for a research project. I would like to see the results for a much larger group before I spend my money and time on something like this.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about two years ago. It was very depressing at first, not knowing what was happening to my body. I read about a medical study in which some volunteers practiced Chi Kung, many of whom gained great benefit.

I bought the DVD of the teacher on Amazon called - Chi Kung: The Healing Workout with Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson. He is an American but studied with a master in China for twenty four years. Mainly, due to pain, I do not do much of the physical movements but instead listen and relax in my easy chair ... some days I can feel the pain melt away, it is very soothing. He advises in the beginning to go slowly, don't overdo! That's most important.

I am so grateful to others here for speaking of their successes and feeling so much better, it is an inspiration to hear this.

Taoist Tai Chi kept me from a wheel chair. Back in 1987 I was involved in a car accident, which left me in severe pain 90% of the time. I went to multitudes of Dr's. to no avail and a lot of pain killers, and unable to do what I use to do with ease. Jobs where now out of the picture as I was unreliable to report for work due to pain. Then back in the late 90"s I came across a Dr. who recommended I try Tai Chi. It took another year before I found someone to teach me Taoist Tai Chi, it was that year I was wrapping my head around living in a wheel chair, when a small ad in our local rag stated that Tai Chi classes where to begin in Sept. I showed up with Bells on and have not looked back since. One must apply themselves for at least ONE YEAR to learn all 108 moves, after that it is just a matter of hoening each move to the best one can do. Once the Spine starts to spiral you are indeed well on your way to relief of pain and very very few pain killers. I look back now and am so greatful to the Master Moy Lin-shin now passed and to my teacher Fred {a Shauman who was taught by Master Moy} I never made it to the wheel chair and have not looked back. Today with a little more prep I will be teaching this Taoist Tai Chi to whom ever wishes to learn. My goal in life for Tai Chi is to have it put into the School program at Kindergarten through grade 12 with credits for a full course DONE. This indeed would cause less stress on the medical community, and lower medical bills for our Governments. I would also like to invite all those in the world who do Tai Chi to Saskatchewan {as it is flat} This could be massive, and let our medical community and the government see just how Powerful Tai Chi can be. I picked Sakatchewan as it would suffice multitudes. CAN YOU IMAGINE....... always, Joyce... B.C. CANADA

We have seen miraculous recoveries from fms over the years in our chi kung and kung fu classes. So much so that we decided to include help for fms in our recently formed non profit

I have been practising Spring Forest Qigong (similar to Tai Chi) for over a year now. I do it every day at 5am for 1 hour only. All aches and pains have now disappeared. It requires commitment so hang in there and you will see amazing results. I am 61 years old and not on any medication now. If only others could embrace this type of gentle exercise the world would be in a healthier state. Governments would not have to spend so much money on their health systems. Teach children at school to do Qigong and Tai Chi.

I've suffered from fibromyalgia for years and have taken all sorts painkillers, battled depression and adopted yoga, etc. I recently got my medical marijuana card to see if that would help. It did, but I get too paranoid when I smoke, plus I hate the coughing on my lungs so I started trying the lotions that you see in most dispensaries. They're great! I apply a salve I found throughout the day and the pain is manageable, but I stay crisp and clear headed
