Do Coconut Oil and Coconut Water Provide Health Benefits?

I have stacks of research and studies by independent scientists showing the numerous benefits of Coconut Oil. The author of this article seems to have gone out of their way to grudgingly admit there "might" be some benefit of coconut oil and "more research is required" and "you might think about adding it but no big deal if you don't". The article seems to have sought out "experts" who all either take a negative outlook or are dubious about "claims". As far as coconut water...Gatorade=High Fructose Corn Syrup Coconut water = all natural. Easy choice for me. Funny this was not discussed...and deceptive. Poorly written article with an agenda.

Hydrogenated coconut oil doesn't contain transfats, All the unsaturated fatty acids are converted to saturated fatty acids.

I personally use both coconut oil and coconut water. I have used Gatorade and other sports drinks and energy drinks frequently in the past. The coconut oil and water have made a great impact on my diet and health - a very good one.

There's one glaring deficit in this article. Why do the authors not provide sources for the studies they cite? Read a BETTER article provided by Dr. Mercola who DOES provide references to the studies cited in his article.

Stop pushing canola oil, it's GMO (yuck). I'll take my chances with the coconut oil.

I've been using coconut oil for the past two years. It really is truly a miracle food! The amount of health benefits (http://coconutoilinformation.com/health-benefits/) is amazing. No other commercial diet supplement or remedy can boast that many benefits. Great article!
