This was a very interesting article about coconuts. There is a Farm in India who I feel is at the cutting edge of commercial coconut production, and is worth some friendly investigating. Coming from the UK I can confirm that I have seen for myself that all the 'Deejay Farm' trees have been producing +300 nuts each year. I will not lie to you these coconut tree seedlings are expensive, but I feel are well worth this extra cost for those in the business. As if you only plant every 60 years you should plant the very best quality available. The palms come from an Indian farm call Deejay’s who has an office in Bangalore. Their palms are the best I have ever seen and are flowering much faster (two years) and nuts (which are very big) are arriving amazingly in the third year, rather than in the 5/6 year. These are commercial trees so they are easy to harvest and it’s all achieved through decades of cross-pollination by their science team. Their Facebook page is http://www.facebook.com/pages/Deejay-Farm-Coconut-Seedling-Farm/137167996461059 and in my opinion is well worth a visit.

I think you're making a common mistake here by assuming that coconut water is made up of ONLY water, sugar, salt, and potassium. Combine those things from your cupboard and I promise it won't turn out the same. There are phytonutrients, plant hormones, amino acids, all kinds of little important things that make it different and better than sport drinks. So it has a teeny, teeny bit less salt, big deal. Give it a shake or two from a saltshaker.

Sat., Sept. 29, 2012: Coconut water is medically advised for Hypertensive &

Congestive Heart Failure patients who are taking prescribed diuretic (water pills) for the adverse side effects of these meds. like symptoms of marked dehydration, weakness, tiredness. These symptoms come as a result of Electrolyte loss like sodium, potassium & calcium depletion secondary to the chronic intake of these diuretics.

As far as the Coconut oil use, it could also replace or substitute the expensive Olive or Canola cooking oils as this coconut oil does not contain the Transgender fats found in some breakfast items such as butter. This transgender fat is associated with the bad cholesterol type called LDL or Low Density Lipoprotein type of cholesterol & is the one responsible for future coronary events like heart attacks because it contains the Long-Chain Fatty Acid. While the coconut oil has the good type of cholesterol called HDL or High Density lipoprotein type of cholesterol which we are advised to have in our diets, because it has got only the Medium fatty acid chain despite it's mild content of saturated fatty acids. = From Doc Zory (Z.B.Ibarra,md)

Sat., Sept.29, 2012: Coconut water is most advisable for the Chronic Stable Hypertension & Chronic Congestive Heart Failure patients who take prescription pills such as Diuretic Pills. These patients usually suffer adverse side effects of those pills such as Marked Dehydration from Severe Electrolyte loss with Potassium, Sodium & Calcium.

As far as the Coconut Oil, it can also replace the expensive Olive or Canola Cooking oils. As was extensively studied, the Coconut oil does not contain the Transgender fats found in some ordinary breakfast meal items like Butter have. They contain just the Medium Fatty Acid Chains, thus, are found in the good cholesterol type which is the High-Density Lipoprotein that we need as opposed to the bad cholesterol which is LDL or Low-Density Lipoprotein which is associated with the Long-Chain Medium Fatty Acid Chains & which are also likely responsible for future coronary events like heart attack or Myocardial Infarction. = From Doc Zory (Z.B.Ibarra,md)

Also COCONUT OIL is a very good healer of any cuts, bruises, etc. Coconut oil is very protective and very fast in healing of the wound than any nebasulf or bandaid.

COCONUT WATER can be given to a patient directly through injection to improve his glucose level. Such a pure non-infected drink

Coconut oil has gotten such a bad rap over the years. I use it as a supplement and for cooking, skin and hair. I am saturated in it! My cholesterol is great(the big concern with saturated fat). With many ours of research, scouring articles and sources, I am yet to find any substantial proof that coconut oil has a negative impact on our health. For me, this tropical oil will remain a staple in my house.
