First, a word about nutrition. Avocados are as healthy as they are versatile: They’re packed with monounsaturated fat, which research suggests protects against heart disease and lowers cholesterol. Avocados also provide strong doses of fiber, potassium and vitamins A, C and E. They’re thought to protect against oral cancer, breast cancer and stroke, and they also improve eye health.
