Forget fried rice and lo mein. The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China’s Chef Xu Jinxue prepared barbecue chicken and sautéed prawns, paired with veggies like broccoli and peppers. Prawns, or extra-large shrimp, are particularly popular in China. Jinxue has worked in the Chinese Embassy in Mexico, Angola, Venezuela and Azerbaijan.
