What about a single 26 yr old who's employer doesn't carry insurance? Where do you get insurance and how much should it cost?

Bobby of IN 12:31AM January 16, 2012

Bottom line on this article., it will cost you a fortune to get health insurance if you are young. chances are you won't get a policy. The plan will cost for my 27 year old son over $500 a month to stay on my plan. That almost more than what he makes because he has been unable to find a job in his field even though he has a masters degree. Does anyone wonder why there is a problem in the US?

Corporate America use to cover their employees. Now, they cover themselves.

My daughter just graduated high school. She still lives me me a home. Because she turned 19. We are having a very hard time finding affordable health insurance for her. Do you have any suggestions? I would very much appreciate the feed back. Thank you. Tammy Maxim

Before Obamacare began, government said 30 million uninsured. What's going on is increasing that number expotentially. Our Medicare is pricing us out, the way our private policy did 10 years ago. The instability is designed, I think, to make us settle for inferior care seen in the British Commonwealth nations.

Socialism is not free. Socialism is you taking what I earned. And once I realize that, why would I continue to produce? So we can sink, together, into mediocracy.

Where on this planet will we see another republic arise such as this USA? We should have closed our borders long since; our population now has no convictions, no beliefs, no self-identity forcing recognition, no one making any statement that this is America, by God, that we know who we are and what we represent, and no one can turn this nation from justice and fair play and the American way. We lost our identity, among the endless Hispanic speakers, among the shouts for gay rights, among the demands for abortion. Realize: we are missing 34,000,000 native-born Americans. The shift in so many fundamentals has left the average American feeling adrift in a foreign unfriendly land.

What do I tell an unemployed 21 year-old whose parents are uninsured?

Pat Smith of CA 3:43PM November 04, 2011

This article starts by condescendingly explaining to young adults why health insurance is important and then goes on to demonstrate that for many, there aren't any good options. It also fails to discuss the fact that many young adults work for companies that do not offer insurance options. This is why young adults are uninsured in the first place, not because they don't understand the importance of insurance.
