Pressure to Look Young May Be Sending More Men to Plastic Surgeons

Do not think there is anything wrong with men entering the age of wanting to look younger. Let's face it for the most part young is beautiful in our society. As technology advances and this field is practiced more it will become much more refined and look more and more real. Unlike Kenny Rodgers etc.

Women should not be saying a thing because they have been using products since they were in their teens to look younger and more beautiful-- called make up. Guys do not have that luxury well I should say most do not at least. Hypocrites; first remove the make up from your own face before you talk about what a man does to his face to look younger:)

i would not wanna date a guy who got cosmetic surgery at all!! I find that so unsexy, if he cares THAT MUCH. I understand if he lost weight and had so much excess skin but thats about it. Deformities are different than normal flaws. I dont want a high maintence guys.

What happen to growing old graceful. Some celebrities look so ridiculous they don't look real. After a certain age it is time to stop pretending that we are something that we are not. Exercise, eat right, go to bed,

Plastic surgery in general is sad. Growing old gracefully is a beautiful thing!

If my husband had an issue with part of his body that he was very unhappy with, I would support him. I guess that would be if part of his body was deformed, if he lost a ton of weight and had excess skin, or if he had bad acne that left his face with pockmarks...that type of thing. If however, he decided to get botox or fillers, no way. The frozen expression those procedures give a person is very unattractive.

Hello Dr. Oz

This is an interesting topic for discussion, plastic surgery and in my opinion; it would depend on the situation that is being presented to even consider surgery. Plastic surgery to undo a natural process of aging is something i don't believe should be done. However, the reasons may vary and plastic surgery should always be an option and not a requirement and should not be pressured into because of a job. There are people out there whose job is to look their best and so surgery is maybe their best investment. I think surgery can be an option and of service to help a people who had an injury and have been disfigured, then I could see that as to being a good reason. Usually you hear of woman having these sorts of things done, for various reasons and to a great extent to keep that youthful look. It's interesting to see it from a man's perspective as to why they would consider having plastic surgery. To hear of anyone wanting surgery to undo a natural process of aging is beyond me, but again it depends on the circumstances that lead one to even consider being put under the knife other than for cosmetic reasons. Besides as women, I enjoy seeing a mature man who is confidant and secure in his own skin, with silver hair and aging to be sexy. Those aging marks do not define the man and are marks of wisdom, refined and beautiful, to me anyway. Plastic surgery is not for all and for those who decide to go under the knife...they should have a good reason in doing so. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and our outer beauty does not define our inner essence of whom we truly are and which should really matter the most.

It is all about nutrition and exercise. Of course genetics plays a big role but if someone really wants to look good it is imperative to spend the time and energy in making wise nutritional choices and exercising. Besides, there is cosmetic acupuncture which is the only method that creates beauty from the inside out! The facial complexion and physical body is a good indication of how the internal organs and systems of the body are working. If you fix the problem from within you will see the results outside. For example dark circles under the ideas are related to the Kidney Meridians unless you address the internal issue the problem will reoccur even if you try to fix it externally.

Conclusion: I am against men trying to look younger through invasive methods but at the end-it is a personal choice.

Men should be every bit as OK to have P.S. as Women. I was a Post Surgical

R.N. For a Plastic Surgeon. He is a Great Surgeon, and Realy cared about his clients and the care they received!! I was a Nurse in a very Up Scale Nursing

Facility, who Marketed to the Plastic Surgeons In The Colorado Springs area.

You see all the Horror stories on T.V. But I saw Great Surgery, Great Follow up

care and Great Results! If I could have Insurance Pay for me I would have the

works! I have lost Almost 100 lbs. The right way with Diet and Exercise and

Alot of sweat with a personal trainer. I am continuing to Eat Healthly and I

exercise every day. I would reccomend any one over 21 who has a legitamate

problem, get it checked out by a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and do your

Home work on the Physicians Practice. Hope this Helps Some one.

Sincerely Margaret Sue Thomas

I'm all for men that are well groomd and healthy, and that take care of their appearance. But PLEASE NO PLASTIC SURGERY. Grey hair and some wrinkles are so sexy. I'm 39 years old and remember thinkinng the same when I was 20.

Vain and making too much money to blow. Women want men to be kind at heart and true. A problem affecting health is one thing , but face lifts in men to look younger ? Oh geez, look at Kenny Rogers and Burt Reynolds. Bad results. Many women in Hollywood look like freaks. The lips, breast implants and face procedures have turned lovely people into creepy looking people , sorry to say. We don't care if a man has a little age on his face. Grow older with us :)
