Health Buzz: Autism Risk Rises With Maternal Age

Correlation is not causation in public health. Autism is genetics-related. If at least one of the parents has autism or carries the trait, the children have a much greater chance of being autistic. Since autistic people tend to marry late, they have children when the mother is older than average. Even if the mother is not autistic. When you look at the raw data, it appears as though age has something to do with autism. The raw data is correct but the conclusion is flawed.

Has anyone done a study of the increased number of sonograms a woman has during their pregnancies. Years ago a woman might have 1. Now they have several.

I would love to no if there is a study with a correlation of ultra sounds and autism

keep distracting vaccine's schedule /type as a environmental cause. As usual, keep blaming on the parents. They want us to forget the AAP and CDC are the ones to blame

These are meaningless numbers as printed: 60% of what .0001%? In 1000 dads over 40 how many kids have autism? In 1000 moms over 40 how many kids have autism? Those would be meaningful numbers. The numbers you have published are simply nonsense and whoever allowed such nonsense should be fired.
