80% of the 36,000 deaths that occur in the US annually due to Flu complications are people older than 75. Only 0.05% of the US population is admitted to a hospital due to Flu each year! So why so much attention to this so called threat?

I agree with the Nursing Association of NYS - Prevention is the best policy. Flu Shots sometimes are not effective at all and who knows about the Swine Flu shot - which was a total failure back in the 1970s.

Some prention measures include washing your hands, eating healty, get a full night sleep, reduce alcohol intake or don't drink at all, use an air purifier, use a humidifier in the winter, drink fluids daily, sit in prayer or meditation daily connecting with our soure, etc.

Has the media and health organizations completely blown this Flu / Swine Flu out of proportion? Could it be tied to the pharmacy companies and those who administer Flu shots make hundreds of millions of dollars off this?

We were born with an immune system to help us fight off colds and the flu and unless you have an immune system dis-ease, I would rely on your god-given and truly amazing immune sytem.
