I learned Orthorexia the hard way. I went to a naturopath who recommended that I follow a diet based on Blood Type. She recommended that I stop eating tomatoes, potatoes, any type of peppers and chicken. I hesitated because doing all that would mean a drastic change in my diet, and asked if it would be a problem to change over all at once. She said it wouldn't be a problem.

I was eating in a very healthy way before, just not with all of these restrictions. I lost a lot of weight and started having digestive problems something, I had not had before. I've slowly added back the so called taboo foods and nothing negative has happened.

Moral of story : avoid diet based on Blood Type. A Google search will show links, this diet has not been proven .. except to enrich the man who came up with it. Don't make drastic changes in your diet ... go slow and follow your intuition.
