I was and still has difficulty achieving deep sleep. I have to take a sleeping pill every night to be able to fall asleep. I have fibrommyalgia. I noticed that if i don't reach deep sleep, the pain is much worse. What I noticed was I would be asleep but I can control my dreams. It was odd and when I tell people they thought it was weird too. It was getting unbearable after a while, plus the aches all over my body. Doctors could not understand the sleep problem that I was describing as well as the pain that i was experiencing. I had to go to different doctors and specialists for about 4 years until I got diagnosed with fibromyalgia.

See my website www.womenandfibromyalgia.com and i support this view but it is limiting! The question is why the sleep problems in the first place. My book explains all this in detail as does my website

I've had fibromyalgia for 3 years. Its a chicken and egg thing. If I don't get enough sleep, I have major flares. But many times, its the pain that wakes me and keeps me awake....

I think that that is sort of scary. I would not want Fibromyalgia, but I do know that I have a chance of getting it. I'm going to go into my Doctors office and ask him more about it... Then I would like to get tested for Fibromyalgia.
