I am an active male who will turn 85 on 8/13/2010 and have had a left hip replaced and a right shoulder replaced. I play golf 4 times a week and walk twice a week. I am having pain in my right hip and would like to know if I am a candidate for minimally invasion hip surgergy and or replacement.

I am 57 years old and for nearly 40 years I've run for the sheer joy of running. I have-joint at times now and do not run at all. Provided surgery is needed, am I a likely candidate for this kind of surgery or is it reserved for the younger athlete? I am a man who has driven quite a few miles on his body. Other than a bit of arthritis in my hand I am as healthy as a well-to-do horse. Remember, Seabiscuit? Ha!
