I can't help but wonder whether strengthening the fractured vertebrae with cement doens't create imbalances that might lead to more pressure on thet unreinforced vertebrae? In other words, after kyphoplasty, are the surrounding vertebrae more likely to fracture? Have studies been done on this, an if so, what are the results?
