Be contented. Dont over worked yourself to get richer faster. Satisfaction is wealth that comes with good health of mind and body, do unto others what you will expect others to do unto you and beleive in God. By this I beleive you will be at peace with yourself.

I am a dental hygienist and I copied this aritcle to show to my patients. I am always encouraging them to floss and the fact that it is listed as number two is meaningful to them and seems to have a powerful impact rather than me just saying you need to floss.

Thanks

“8. Live like a Seventh Day Adventist” - WOW!...I’m a Seventh day Adventist and this is absolutely true!...in our local village churches we have people who live above 100 years and in all our universities and high schools we serve only lacto-ovo- vegetarian diet. I hope Adventists appreciate this and people around the world adopt this too....thumbs up!

My father n law is 90. He farms everyday. Feeds Cattle, takes care of a Alzheimer Wife. Eats Vinna Weners, sardines and crackers everyday for lunch. Eats chicken strips for dinner and whiskey for bedtime. He is strong and healthy. I think it is his habits he has had since 8 yrs old.

Please forgive me for my opinions to be stated here:

1st The piece covered very well the physical, emotional, mental aspects of pursuing longevity.it was done in simple terms , had depth and so organized that it is easy to follow.

2nd What was missed was the nutritional aspect of the diet of the countries who surpassed USA in the Has anyone noticed that in ancient history even before the birth of Jesus Christ that

unleavened bread made from whole grains was one of the basic staples ? it also leads us to realize as modern civilization made

progress baked products from Yeast might have been the cause of our illnesses other than HIV of course! !Rice,Beans, potates, soy and fruits and green vegetables was taken over by animal sources for protein.Food manufacturers and

food processors intro on products we hardly know the beginnings so mutilated for profitability and no concern of what happens inside the cells in our body ?

3rd Environmental aspects from Pollution non ionizing radiation from artificial sources like bigger TV,cell phones, lpads, microwave ovens etc and toxins from the use of plastics, shrink wraps, bottled water left in the heat of the sun all producing cellular damage to our normal cells when we imbibe them .What about the gamma irradiation that our food manufacturers use to reduce the microbial contamination andkill the micro-organisms that produces foreign free radicals causing

the DNA

This is not the perfect place for me to explain my theory of cellular warfare in contrast to the medical science of antibiotics

and drugs to get an easy stop to all new diseases we will have

notwithstanding they have not found the cause and cure for a common cold and flu ? To me this is the basic illness that we have to take care of and for someone who has not had a cold for

almost forty years one has to wonder what was the scientific

explanation or path of life did l follow ?

4th Foreign Invaders actually arising from our imports from abroad that a majority of us do not realize them ? Lead in mugs, china ware we reheat and cook with in microwave ovens has multiplied of recent.Did you know that the FDA did not have a standard of identity on how much lead can be in our cells .Our export/import ratio is so bad and our demand for imports are still increasing ?

What about the regular fare we eat at the fast food and chinese buffets ? ?

Well,it is not only china, spices ,food we can chalk up the warfare !Have you considered the molds, fungus and micro-organisms we import that causes us to be sick ?

Last, but not least the spiritual aspect of longevity is most important. If we believe that we are a creation of a supreme human being then we have to thank whoever it is everyday of our lives.Harmony and Balance between us and the Mother earth we live in ! Love abounds when one love himself and loves the next door neighbor !If we are vested spiritually we achieve peace and stability thus we will live the longest here on earth and till eternity

I think that the part about being conscientiouss is true. I have had asthma and chronic bronchitis since birth and have no idea looking back (besides a few episodes of devine intervention too detailed to get involved in now) how I survived until my ripe old age of 54. I became a Trauma RN which was putting myself at very high risk with all of the exposure of drug resistant diseases. As a matter of fact 2 of my collegues died at very young ages of asthma...I was in "charge " of a floor one night and almost died at the hospital that night. This was my turning point...no one smoked near me around me no matter how much I love them or how embarassed I was to speak upl..no medication dosage was missed, delayed or pushed off until too late...as of 7 years ago COPD reared it's ugly head and the ability to hold a job became impossible...it always had been but Iloved nursing so much it was the first time I cared. Human Resources told me to use my FMLA on a day to day basis....worked for a while until a new company was not as understanding as my old Doctors and administration. As oxygen saturaations dropped meds increased and documentation was a little confused at times. I prayed, worked through all mealbreaks but took every med ordered///at the first sneeze the Docs were on it with a Z pack or AB of choice for that season. I never harmed anyone,,,I prayed I would get out before anything did happen and I did. I am now retired and awaiting disability. Do ya think I will be rewarded for trying so hard? All government doctors I've seen sayed no way you can work any more but my lawyer said theydo not look at these things.(so why do they order them and charge the tax payers with them). I'm afraid, sick, lost all vehicles and willl lose home in June. I am afraid. but I am alive because I did not play with the disease. All of you with heart disease diabetes any of the lung diseases do not play or test your parameters. You can get a second opinion but you will lose without treatment I feel sad for the families of the people who continued to smoke and treat themselves for they have lost out. Hoping and praying to be here in the AM Sincerley , Susan
