Flu Season 2010-11: What to Know to Stay Healthy

Just because someone chooses not to get a vaccine does not mean that person will get sick. I was on campus at my college last year during the H1N1 pandemic, which struck 75% of the student body. Sick people EVERYWHERE. I chose not to get a vaccine and instead washed my hands and made sure I took plenty of Vitamin D- and stayed healthy, despite living in a dorm. The same happened to my like-minded friends. Others said we were "lucky" to not get sick, as if vaccination is the only prevention. We weren't lucky- we were smart and took care of ourselves. Vitamin D has no negative side effects! I'd rather take a vitamin and wash my hands than shoot up formaldehyde, mercury derivatives, animal fluids, and other chemical trash that ironically pregnant women are specifically advised to avoid.

"As of the third week of August 2010, the overall national weekly rate of consultations for ILI continued to increase above the seasonal baseline for the fourth consecutive week, however, the rate of increase in ILI consultations appears have slowed during the most recent reporting week, suggesting that peak epidemic activity may occur in the weeks ahead."

Note there is no proof that ILI (influenza-like illness) is actually influenza except in lab confirmed cases, which, in NZ, is <10%.

@Franks - the report from 8/6/10 states:

"In the temperate zone of the southern hemisphere, overall seasonal and pandemic influenza activity remains low, except in South Africa"

"Elsewhere in Argentina, Chile, New Zealand, and Australia, overall influenza activity remains low and below levels observed during recent, mild, pre-pandemic influenza seasons"

Go to the WHO pages and look at what's being reported there. H1N1 is running rampant in the Southern Hemisphere now particularly in NZ and Argentina and so we may be looking at a real return this season up North. Now, since the new vaccine handles H1N1 along with the seasonal flu, most of us should be protected. If you don't want to get the shot, don't. Just stay away from the rest of us when you get sick and keep your kids at home when they are sick - quarantine as always been a successful form of prevention.

The Swine flu may have made money, but it also hospitalized me, ending up with pneumonia, I was pregnant and my son was stillborn. Get the vaccines people! And stop sending your sick kids to school!!!

As usual panic and lies. The CDC just announced that the number of people who get the flu are really not accurate, the numbers are too high. The Swine Flu vaccine made $50 Bilion last year!! and it was recently stated that the harm was not as bad as first believed. A filmmaker has been reversing diabetes without medications but the drug makers do not promote the story...so sad..sad

just google SPIRIT HAPPY DIET
