I can understand how dogs might spread MRSA- but not how they can spread health news of any sort. Dogs spreading health news is certainly worth reporting about- but not a public health concern.

I've witnessed filthy practices at the most prestigious hospitals in the developed world .The guilty comprised mostly of the bottom feeders that goverment mandated programs sought to "empower" ,though a surprising number of physcians who know better can also be held accountable. With it the almost extinct practice of post lavoratory hand washing by the population as a whole .It is then a gross simplication to place the fault with dogs solely.Descended from the wolves that once competed with our forebearers for food, they have become more than just loyal companions - in reality an extension of our dominion over the earth as a whole. It is we who have imperiled them, by playing with the natural laws of selection-reducing them -figurativly and physically to fit neatly into purses. Almost twenty years ago it a link was established between air borne paticulate emanating from cat litter boxes and toxic shock syndrome in susceptable women .Disregard of natures warnings, can result in the development/mutation of these pathogens that can negatively affect human and animal life.
