FDA Panels to Weigh Safety of Newer Forms of the 'Pill'

Do NOT take Nuvaring! I am currently in the hospital with my 20yr old daughter who, just 4 days shy of her 21st birthday, is waiting for surgery to remove deep vein blood clots from her leg. She began using Nuvaring less than one month ago and has tested negative for genetic markers that may have raised her risk of clotting. Merck should be ashamed of themselves for letting profits outweigh the risks of this drug. Do your homework and don't let the marketing of "convenience" over other safer contraceptives put you in danger. Blood clots are serious and LIFE-threatening!  Please think twice and know the facts!
