The Longer You Sit, the Shorter Your Life Span: Study

Reader's Digest offers an automatic renewal which I missed one year and did not want to renew. It took two letters telling them I did not wish to renew, the last one I told them I would not contact them anymore, but any additional magazines would be considered a gift because as far as I was concerned I had canceled my subscription. A subscription which started as a gift, another thing Reader's Digest does, you subscribe and send the 2 to 5 names for them to start a gift subscription for family and friends. The magazines stopped coming after I informed them that I would consider them as a gift.

I use a TrekDesk treadmill desk so that I can walk or stand all day at work. Works great and I feel better than ever.

Glad I ordered that inversion table when I did! Now I'll be standing up-upside-down and will become immortal!

It helps when you stand every once in a while. And when my back hurts, i stand while busy on the pc for 15 mins or so. And to make sure sitting for 8 hours everyday doesn't get its toll on me, i go for a long walk every week and exercise regularly.

I'll bet the people doing the study did it sitting down and won't head their own advice. Sad.
