It is depressing to know how at risk we are. It is a good thing that so many people are putting articles up and getting people to be aware of our air conditions.

You know that air pollution released in one place can spread to other places.
Well the surrounding air you breath is called Ambient Air, when you breath in something bad like pollution can make the very young and the elderly very sick because the very young are still developing there brains, lungs, and all part of the young's body, the elderly have breathed pollution for a very long time so they could die or get very very sick! The air pollution laws were formed to keep the air clean and safe from all people.Across the USA scientists sample and test ambient air for particulate matter, carbon dioxide, lead and ozone. These pollutants cannot exceed a certain level, called an Air Quality Slandered. Ambient air must meet air quality standards for six different pollutants. If the air you breath is not meet standers, limits are placed on emissions.

Many people take cough suppressants at the first indication of a cold or discomfort. They should really have cough inducers to clear the nose and lungs before the stuff settles deep into tissues. Don't take cough supressors.

So when I become disabled from cardiovascular disease, are the Big Polluters responsible, even partially? If you said yes,can you prove it,or better yet, can your lawyers beat their lawyers?
From today's local paper: March 9, 2010:
If you're sensitive to unhealthy air quality or have a heart or lung condition, be careful today.
The Indiana Department of Environmental Management is forecasting high soot levels in the air in Lake and Porter counties and the Chicago area. That means children, the elderly and people susceptible to heart or lung illnesses should reduce or avoid exertion and heavy work outdoors.
The fine particles are 1/30th the size of a human hair and can penetrate deep into the lungs. Breathing the particles can aggravate asthma, increase chronic bronchitis, cause coughing, make breathing difficult and painful, and cause premature death in people with heart and lung disease.
The warning is issued because of high-end moderate levels of particulate matter Monday, said Mark Neyman, an environmental manager in IDEM's Office of Air Quality, in a statement.
Two days ago,we learned of this: The Grand Calumet River has the most problems of any river in the United States, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Cleanup has progressed slowly since the river was designated as one of the nation's worst in 1987. Locals say it could take several decades before the river is restored to its pre-industrial state and can be a source of recreation for region residents, but several proposals are in the works.
I know what you're thinking;MOVE if you don't like it! Will you find me a job equal to or better than the one I've invested 15 years in,and the same for my spouse with over 30 years service. It's not that easy to pick up and move.
