Rapid Cooling Might Help Heart Attack Patients

My wife was allowed to bleed out without being given blood after her heart attack. Standard care caused her to have severe brain damage to the point of crashing. Revived and given blood saved her life but nothing was done (by neurologist) to prevent brain damage. Hospital's insurance company now pays for 24/7 care for my wife but the ten years of life they've taken from her isn't part of the settlement -- due to Texas "tort reform" laws. How long till this is common paractice in ambulance and hospital care. Too late for my wife.
