so cigarettes aren't the only air pollutant that can kill us? (sic)

Rainfall cleans the air by making ozone. It's that fresh air smell. Electric motors make ozone. Electric cars good?

Researchers study ozone in air polution and it gets the blame. Perhaps it's anonther compound in the air that's the culprit?

Ozone is a powerful greenhouse gas. What gas isn't?

I agree with the "more hot air" comments.

People will get out of their cars when they can no longer sfford them.

A crackpot with a PhD is still a crackpot.

You will never be convinced because

a) It is not in the Bible

b) It's science

c) It doesn't fit into your jaded view that the world can forever be exploited for capitalistic gain

d) It means liberals were right

e) all of the above

Take your pick

A comment was made that a driver drives less than 3000 miles a year and ask's "Any of you do that"....well I can do better...I do not drive at all....and as for population control...I have only one child. Do not use plastic bags and recycle all plastic, glass and metal items...my lighting at home is 25 watts per light blub and all my outlets have on/off switches.

Beat that.

Dear "More hot air"

Ozone at high altitude = Good

Ozone at ground level = Bad

Owen 12:40PM March 12, 2009

Ozone is good, ozone is bad. CO2 is good CO2 is bad. When will they make up their minds? Probably breathing too much O3 mixed with CO2. It wasn't too long ago we could not even measure 10 parts per billion, do you realize how tiny that is? (It’s like the $400 in your bank account vs. the net worth of Bill Gates)

This is just another scam like anthropogenic global warming to confuse, scare and control the masses.

Hydrogen fuel is not the answer for several reasons. It will help but can also cause it to rain more often in some areas which will cause problems as well. By the time it would be in place the number of cars will double which will cause various other problems. The only real answers are to get people out of cars. Which they will not do on their own. The other answer is to control the birth rate until the number of people in the world is reduced. No one will want to do this in time either. As the first comment says: "Good Luck!" Enjoy your life today because there are too many idiots who will never take part in Green and most will never do it the right way if they do because they will be mislead by people who mean well but do not have the real answers. In time nature may take a course that will reduce the human race and that will be help. I do more than my part, enough for 3 or for families, I drive less than 3000 miles a year for one. Any of you do that? I'm sorry but you just can't make people smarter no matter now many pieces of paper you let them buy at schools.

Good luck getting the average bozo to clean up his act. When was the last time you did? Are you going to stop popping out kids, stop driving, stop using products that contribute to the problem? Do you even know how? I've got a hint for you, your Prius and recycling don't do squat. Breath deep while you wait for those domes to be built over your city which you will be cheap to pay the taxes for. Have a nice day.

The President's stimulus package provides plenty of incentives, tax breaks, credits etc... for alternative energies most of which promote lower emission technologies, most notably zero-emission hydrogen fuel cells for transportation. As interest has waned in California's hydrogen highway, America has lost an opportunity to finally free ourselves from fossil fuels eliminating the largest source of air pollution in our nation, that of the family automobile. We need only begin to implement hydrogen fueling stations to rid us of pollution, oil imports, acid rain, lung diseases, etc... simply by replacing our automobiles with zero-emission fuel cell autos. It's truly a matter of life & breath!!!
