I was very happy to read this article and I can relate to it from my personal experience.

I am a doctorate in microbiology and I sometimes have upset stomach. This condition adds to my anxiety and affects my mood tremendously. I feel so down and in no mood to socialise or do anything. As soon as I am out of it I am back to my normal self.

I had long suspected that in someway microbes are responsible for this symptoms and this article really throws light in that fascinating area of research. I guess many psychosomatic symptoms may be related to upset stomach and the remedy to the welbeing may lie in treating gastric symptoms rather than the psychic drugs.

Thanks,
