I'm a type I diabetic for 22 years and work long hours (16 hour shifts, 2-3 times a week), which allow me little or no time for anything else. I wear an insulin pump but it is still very difficult to manage and control my diabetes. I am interested in participating in a trail study. I'd like more information on the study and who to contact in my area. This is an exciting and hopeful breakthrough for diabetics.

I have been a type 1 diabetic for 50 years. Are there any Hospitals in Minnesota doing the test. I would be interested in part of this project.

How does one become a participant in this study? What other universities in the US are participating?

My 18 year old daughter has had Type 1 Diabetes for 2 1/2 years and is having a terrible time emotionally and physically. She has said often that she wishes there was a transplant program. If there is a need for more participants I would love the hear about it. This is great news.

Borris,

Who is the maker of the pump and the other device ? I am very interested in investing in the company. Is the company on the NYSE? This is going to be huge when it takes off. I see this as being very BIG. I want to be part of this. THanks.

I would be very interested in participating in any further trials of this system. Please provide contact information if Dr. Kovatchev is seeking additional participants.

This study is being carried out at UVa's General Clinical Research Center. We're very proud to be a part of this important work.
