After 45 years of managing with Type 1 diabetes, this would be such a God send, especially for those who have difficulty waking during a low blood sugar encounter at night. I look forward to further progress in this area. Keep up the good work. By the way I don't buy into or choose the word or condition of "suffering" but I suppose it is all relative and your point of view.

Our son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes 2 years ago at the age of 11. He is a trooper and manages his diabetes wonderfully. His last A1C was 6.9%. We get up with him every night to ensure his blood sugar doesn't "bottom" out. The artificial pancreas would be a blessing to our family and many others with Type 1 diabetes.

Being a diabetic with 2 diabetic children keeps us all busy--and financially challenged. What is the projected cost of an artificial pancreas? (The 3 of us use syringes because pumps are out of our pocketbooks.)

I would like to know more about under skin sensors and associated reading devices. In process control technology you can always achieve target set point (in diabetes control say 110 mg/dL) using PID (integral and derivative control)

Iam a diabetic patient using insulin. Also control system engr for more than 10 years.Would like to help out in this research.

My son was diag. at age 16 and is 17 now. He plays football on both sides of line. He had 111 tackles last year. His health is great and his a1c is around 6. His sugars are under control. Think he may still be producing insulin. Could he be of help in this research. We want to find a way to help in this research. Please email me back.
