Science is producing miracles. As a nation and people, we lost 8 years of federal funding of research into stem cells as the President pandered politically to those against embryonic stem cell research. This irrational and anti-scientific policy caused the USA to lose a decade of critical research. Fortunately, private funding increased for regenerative medicine. Imagine how far ahead we could have been in curing diseases with stem cells!
