Public funding programs for public schools made school to work programs more important than P.E. Bring back P.E. in schools to lower government funded medical payouts.

Do things the right way, not the easy way. People will see the example.

I recently drove from CA through the southwest and back (NV, AZ, NM, TX, CO, UT) and was astounded that I could drive for hundreds of miles (especially in TX and NV) and only come across little hodunk towns with a gas stop and a couple fast food restaurants (not even a discernible grocery store in town or mom 'n pop style restaurant). Personally, I don't eat fast food, so I was starving by the time I hit any major cities, but it made me think, "No wonder there's so many fat people in the states."

This is easly fixed. People limit how much and what they eat, excercise, and sleep. Then you will be fit and healthy. This is not an epidemic unless you could more and more people being lazy an epidemic
