Health Buzz: Front-Facing Car Seats Unsafe for Kids Under 2

In line with this latest recommendation by the AAP the next 'advisory' from them should be that we don't allow children in the car until they are old enough to secure a driver's license.

The 'nanny state' just continues to infest the nation thru osmosis.

It makes no difference in which children face, it is the carelessness and negligence of the driver that results in the accidents with which these children are confronted.

Get the parents off the cellphone and 'booze' - lighting a cigarette or putting on 'make-up' or reading the newspaper or texting.

The only truly dangerous part of any automobile is the 'loose nut behind the wheel'.

Until we remedy that situation it makes no difference whatsoever which way anyone sits in a vehicle.

Oh, bull!! For that matter, it would be better if adults were seated backwards.. Of course, that would require major changes in how seats are designed... BUT, that's probably what the do-gooders are going to come up with next....

It is a tough recommendation to follow. Kids start getting curiou and want to see things it is easier to distract them in a car when they are facing forward.
