Signs that the infant is ready

(HealthDay News) -- Babies may be able to try solid foods at age 6 months. But how do you know when they're ready?

The Nemours Foundation says babies who are ready for solid foods may show these signs:

  • A decrease in baby's tongue-thrusting reflex.
  • Baby has good control of his or her head.
  • Reaching for an adult's food.
