I don't agree with this article. Milk for toddlers is not necessary. You can get protein, fat and calcium from unprocessed foods (yes, milk is processed because it is pasteurized.) Pasteurization changes the chemical makeup in milk proteins which is why many people are intolerant. The reason why milk is pushed is because milk producers lobby to the FDA and other health organizations. Do some research, I suggest checking out the Weston A Price foundation website. Best wishes and good health to all.

Milk fat is actually a good fat and is necessary for digesting the protein and absorbing the calcium in milk. Milk fat contains glycosphingolipids, types of fats linked to immune system health and cell metabolism. The old arguments of why everything we consume should low fat is erroneous. Food in it's natural state is far more healthy than food that has been manufactured to be "healthy". There is everything right about consuming healthy fats in moderate quantities and avoiding manufactured food. Have you ever seen 2%, 1% or skim milk come out of a cow?

Nothing better than raw milk, anyone that say's different does not have your well being at the top of his list.
