What do you mean rats do not develop cancer naturally? The pet rats I've had all developed cancer.

However, it would be easier to study cancer in a dog because it lives longer.

Dogs are our sentinels... The cancers that they are getting are the cancers we get or are getting. Thank you for putting this out there. As we discover what will help dogs, we will indeed be discovering what will help us.
