It all about Money

Peggy of TN 8:14AM January 26, 2011

Oncologists are tasked with maintaining a fragile equilibrium of ethical treatment decisions on a daily basis. Perhaps truth-telling does remain to be the best medicine, the sole treatment option, at some point in any patient's care plan. However, asking them to discuss the concept of end-of-life earlier in the treatment plan is akin to asking a quarterback to announce that season tickets are probably a waste of money. Kindly refer to the peer-reviewed video case study and discussion regarding this issue, filmed at the M.I. Stalling Cancer Research Center in Port Kilemmal, Scotland: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCj4G9hwxmA.
