Recurrence of Oral Cancer Found to Signal Poor Outcome

Now that is a study I would like to see used for bird cage liners!! Statistics are so unreliable for this disease. I note the study did not take into account age at onset, overall health of the patient, staging, etc, etc, etc. We are individuals and each oral cancer patient has their OWN story (and they are all different!). The idea that they might not do a 2nd surgery if cancer comes back is beyond bizarre. Very happy right now to be treated in Canada - not Australia!!

I still like my surgeon's statistics. He said either I will die of this cancer, or I will die of something else!!
