Also, on another forum I heard it could be a thing called heart break syndrome. I read I comes from anxiety and stress from a lost love or something else you could be worried about. Its when Yur brain suffers and releases poison like chemical to the heart. Google broken heart syndrome.

I have the same symptoms on my left side breast armpit and a small part of my back. I smoke 1/2 pack a day. And I also have been vry anxious lately. It started a couple of weeks ago when I started sleeping on the couch at my EX boyfriends house. Talk about depressing. N e way I'm sure a good way of combating these symptoms (as I am) is to go green. Regulate a diet of green vegetables/heart healthy foods

I went in for a mammogram as I turned 51 last year. They dicovered a mass in my left breast. They had me come back for another mammogram and then an aultra sound. They say I have micro califications and will be getting a biopsy done next week. I have had no pain but on my rib cage under troubled breast I have a large lump/bump. I can't grab hold of it but it is irritable. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this or experienced it?

I have a 2.2 cm mass in my right breast that came on between my last mammo and the current one. I noticed shooting and burning pains, not related to my menstrual cycle, beginning early this year. When I had my last screening mammo, they called back a couple of hours later to schedule me the next day for a dx mammo and ultrasound. The facility where I got these examinations was dismissive to say the least, stating that "pain is not a breast cancer symptom." I was persistent, went to my GYN and spoke with my CNM, a very caring practitioner, who referred me immediately to a breast specialist. Another ultrasound was done in the office, and the she said the lump needs to be removed as soon as possible. She sent me for a 3-d mammo and another ultrasound for more views, but scheduled the surgery for a couple of weeks after the visit. I am feeling unwell, have for months, with night sweats, fatigue, and shooting and burning pains that wake me out of a sound sleep, into my armpits and in the shoulders and in the middle of my back as well. I am angry that none of the other health care professionals I have seen are taking my complaints seriously. Does anyone else have this experience?

I have been complaining for 2 months about my arms hurting last month in September which was the 1st episode , my arms hurt so bad that I could barely use them. My Doctor suspected RA or lupus so he ran some blood test and put me on predisone, my pain went away but all my lymph nodes were swollen.

They still have not gone down. This month I had pain so bad in both breast again and the nodes appeared larger. I noticed some leakage from my left breast it was yellow looking. I immediately went to my Doctor who did a breast exam again he felt nothing and chalked it up to my monthly. But because of my age he ordered a mamo. I was fortunate because I have no insurance that the hospital I was going to was doing free mamos for women just 3 days after my so called healthy exam. The Doctor at the hospital did another breast exam and said I was fine and that my lymph nodes were swollen due to my monthly and that I drink to much caffine. He told me to take vitamin E to reduce the water in my lymph nodes and that I would be fine. Well 2 days ago I got the results from my mamo I have an abnormality that needs to be evaluated to make sure it isn't cancer. If your arms hurt and your lymph nodes are swollen go to your doctor and raise sand if he cant feel anything because I have been told I am fine. But I think something is really wrong because I am tired and hurt all the time. remember a pain in your back can also be breast cancer even in your side. I will let you know what the results are of my next test soon...

Wow. Reading these stories frightens me. I have a enlarged right breast with a hard painful lymph node. I have had a mammogram and ultrasound. They said it looked fine. Just a swollen lymph node not very swollen and very painful. The day I got my mammogram pain radiated from the node next to my breast to my armpit and my arm swelled up and I found another node in my armpit. The Doc said the only way to know for sure if it is breast cancer is to get a biopsy. He also added that everything looked "normal". What do I do? I haven't been feeling well for 5 months or more. I was recently diagnosed with a thyroid disorder and have been on meds for that for 1 week. What to do?

I am sure that every woman who has ever been told that cancer doesn't hurt should not believe that "old wive's tale" for one minute. And second opinions aren't even accurate. Keep following your instinct. I did when I was dismissed by doctors, mamamographers, sonographers (sp.???). But guess what - it was stage I. They said mandatory radiation and optional chemo. Are you kidding. Go for it all. Stand the side affects. Life or death - you choose. Be pro-active. I lost all my hair and all the skin on my hands - but now, two years later, I have the longest, prettiest hair ever. But the pain is back, and the movable, disappearing lump is back. And know one seems to find it. But I will keep going until they take it out. I had a total hysterectomy because Tamoxifen and Femara weren't keeping estrogen suppressed. Do what you have to do if you want to live. Life is hard, but life is a gift. And if you are a mom or wife or sister or daughter - you owe it to your family to stay strong and roll with the flow. It is over sooner than you think or its just over. Make a choice and stand firm and keep on keeping on until you find a doctor who believes you. And I am not a Komen fan, but maybe they can help you if these blogs can't. Remember most of all, you are a perfect child of God. He loves you and wants you to live. Free will is ours.

I am in a real bother. I have seen two specalists, and both refuse to do a biopsy on this 'lumpy, dimpled area under my left breast'. I have had normal mammograms, and a 'normal ultrasound', however I am breastfeeding my 3 year old girl still. I had a CT scan of my chest and it showed that there was extra breast tissue there, but cannot explain it??? My gut feeling is something is wrong there I get pain in the chest, and feel uneasy about it. There is breast cancer in my family, my paternal gran died of it. They cannot do a MRI cause I have a pacemaker,. I am 37, and really feeling annoyed that it is my body and they will not biopsy it to be sure its 'ok'. I cannot believe these doctors, Where do I go for help. I am not really rich with money....
