Florida's Minorities See Unusual Melanoma Patterns

I wonder have they also taken to account the ethnic backgrounds of minorities in Florida. There are many minorities from various Caribbean islands that reside in Florida. I wonder does that have something to do with Melanoma incidence. Maybe the incidence is more related to genetics and hereditary factors rather than UV exposure.

I have a friend whose mother was born in Jamaica, lived in New York and died from Melanoma on the leg.
