A tanning ban is absolutely necessary. If we're going to ban kids under 18 from smoking, we should do the same for tanning. Please, FDA, let's help the shortsighted. After watching this, http://bit.ly/bRIZUg, how can we NOT ban it?

why in the world is the FDA looking at Tanning beds . Below are some statistics on the amount of drugs that dont work and i will share this there are drugs out there in development or sitting on a shelf some were that work but could cause profits to be lost if a disease is cured.

Dr Roses said doctors treating patients routinely applied the trial-and-error approach which says that if one drug does not work there is always another one. "I think everybody has it in their experience that multiple drugs have been used for their headache or multiple drugs have been used for their backache or whatever.

"It's in their experience, but they don't quite understand why. The reason why is because they have different susceptibilities to the effect of that drug and that's genetic," he said.

"Neither those who pay for medical care nor patients want drugs to be prescribed that do not benefit the recipient. Pharmacogenetics has the promise of removing much of the uncertainty."

Short of having the abilities to distort logic, which politicians seem to have, I simply do not understand how the United States is going to pay for a nationalized health-care plan. I do not believe the "savings" figures the Administration and Congress have provided. Since when have their financial projections been reliable? And if dollars somehow are saved, we all know Congress will spend it faster than they can ever get their grubby mitts on it!
