Tired of nannies of any kind of OH 9:00PM November 12, 2009

Just ban them like most drugs that aren't made by a drug company, that way I can call someone to deliver them to me at home.

Get out of my life. Don't tell me what to do or when to do it. I don't care what you believe in and I don't care what you think. Live your own life and leave me alone.

Eventually the smoke Nazis will win their battle, probably funded by more taxpayer dollars appropriated by a politician trying to get re-elected. One more freedom will be lost.

When do we go after the obese and shut down all of the fast food joints? All hospitals are being fitted with bariatric equipment to handle the 300+ lb club. Who pays for that? There are far more obese and morbidly obese than there are smokers. Take a stroll through any airport terminal and count the wide bodies.

Then let's go after the porn readers. And what about those who insist on using their cel while driving?

The more of the article I read, the more I hear it with a german accent. I DONT smoke. You self righteous lumps who think this is soooooo great, will be the ones yelling loudest when they start regulation of your life. Like all good Nazis, as long as it doesn't happen to you, you are okay with whatever they do. But they will always come.

The turnaround in the numbers of smokers is NOT because of underfunding, it's because more and more people are discovering the truth behind this social engineering that "denormalize" behavior. Tobacco Control organizations like the American Cancer Society, ASH, Tobacco Free Kids, etc., have become nothing but Perception Management firms. They are paid to CREATE "truth". Created truth is controllable. PM uses select information involving falsehood and deception. Really smoke and mirrors to get people to believe what they want the "truth" to be. Perception Management as a rule uses deception to influence emotions to an end. The difference between real and perception is like a stick of dynamite and the A-bomb. Wars can be created using Perception Management! Everyone, really, has seen PM in practice, and small business owners are experiencing this with legislation against their Constitutional rights. It requires absolutely no courage to support a popular position, even if completely wrong or illegal. Al Capone had nothing on the extremely well-funded prohibitionists of today, like big pharma who finance these bans in the first place and then pass the costs on to the local govt and business owners. It's time to tell big pharma to get back to finding cures with the hundreds of millions of donated dollars instead of spending it squashing the freedom of the very people donating. It was never about health, just money, as witnessed in NYC.

The truth about second-hand smoke is finally out.

I find that yeah smelling smoke irritates my breathing.

So will this program of yours also prohibit pot smoking for it also produces smoke and has secondhand effects on children.

As far as public money to pay for programs, if all of you want the word out then find a way to pay for it.

There have to be large companies willing to invest.

If not I don't know what to tell you.

We as people are inundated with charities from save the children to paying for dog catchers by adopting dogs, Who by the way receive better medical than working Americans.

Cancer research,March of Dimes,Jerry's Kids to name a few.

Sop trying to make the public pay for what you believe in.

Gang shootings take one heck of a lot of money in state payments for emergency room doctors but I don't see anyone yelling for it to stop and a lot of people die from that too.

Whatever happened to being able to make choices for myself?

Brenden of TX 3:44PM November 12, 2009

If the amount of smokers has remained stagnant for 5 years, how are those ridiculous smoking bans working for you? It's always about money for the anti-smokers in tobacco control.

Rebeccar of OH 3:44PM November 12, 2009
