Did Stress Give Don Imus Prostate Cancer?

I was diagnosed with advanced aggressive Prostate cancer in June, 2008. I had radical prostate surgery in July of that year and learned that I had spreading on the margins. My post-op pathology revealed a Gleason score of 8.

Surgery was followed by 38 sessions of radiation and a year of hormone therapy.

As of this writing, my PSA level is <0.1 and I have every reason to believe that I will continue to live a full and productive life (minus the sex.)

I have been exposed to a large amount of stress over the last year. My PSA went from 1.5 a year ago to 4.5. Further test shows that I have a slow growing prostate cancer. On June 4th I am going to have to prostate remove by a doctor in Birmingham. I can wait. I plan on having a full recovery including a very strong sex drive. My advise is to take animal meat out of your diet if you are male and over 50 years of age. The meat and stress are your killers.

You're a tough, old goat. Prostate cancer is a good kind to get if you have to get it.

Went to Dattoli Cancer Center in Sarasots,Fla.to the Dr. that invented the seed implants at Sloan-Kett in NY. Had radition first & never missed a day riding. Had the seed implants on a Wed.,got home Sun & was back riding Mon am.Got the higest score on recovery ever at Dattoli. I am a 62 yr.old grumpy old man like you & breaking my ribs last yr. was a whole lot worse than Cancer!!

Dr Dattoli said Surgery was never an option for me because I was too young & active. When the best is available, go to the best!

I am successfully recovering from prostate cancer. No doubt it can be done. My very best wishes for a complete recovery--you deserve it! Any survivor of the "Old Corps" can beat anything:-)

Mr Imus

Let me express the feelings of many: we respect your work and your humanity, and wish you strength as you undergo treatment. We look forward to your healthy return.

Unfortunately, Imus, 1 in every 2 men will get prostate cancer....so, there goes your hopes of more lawsuits against your former employer for rightfully terminating your show.

And all of that over-priced "healthy" food you sell and the organic b. s. that you sell with it won't stand the test of preventing a darn thing! You are not so special that you can be exempt from this disease that every 1 in 2 men get! It doesn't care who you are...cancer is no respecter of men.
