Minorities know when they are getting scammed by a system that has a 55% success rate. Why trust an MD who's following a protocol based on his insurance provider's actuarial tables?
Affluent, insured, 'educated' people accept the shoddy treatment they get (along with everyone else) and have such blind trust based on their assumptions of social superiority, they never, EVER question the abuse they are put through. Would they even know good care if they got it?
When in point of fact the uninsured get the BEST care of all (basically the 'hit-and-run' treatment - of this I have firsthand experience) you know the money-whoring aspect of the system is in charge.
As long as the malpractice and liability insurance industry controls healthcare in this country, it's correct for people to avoid it.
If what happened to 18 year-old Nataline Sarkisyan in 2007 is an example of how well the cancer industry works, no one is safe.
