One way or another you need to keep yourself in the best possible shape because of the rotten system in place. There is so much i could see improving but it comes down to the bottom line im told. Does wall street really need more Breitlings? check me out at http://www.vitaminalmanac.com

We talk and talk but WHAT IS BEING DONE!!!! Damn us for getting cancer! As far as this country is concerned, we can just DIE!!

I'm in my mid 20's, 3 years out of remission from Hodgkins Lymphoma. This Dec I'm loosing my insurance, getting kicked off my parents. I am facing never being able to get insured, or at least going the next few years with it out it until I land a miraculous job that pays me enough money to afford it in this horrible economy we live in. My work will not give me benefits and keeps me at the minimum. I've been denied and told to my face by Insurance companies "we won't cover you" because I am a "high risk patient". Private companies rates are something I will never be able to afford, taking away 90% of the money I do make.

Why is it that those that smoke/do drugs can be insured, but those that survived cancer and lead healthy lived can be denied??

I am so scared of falling out of remission and not being able to get medical coverage. It's not fair, it's not right.

Health insurance is suppose to keep people healthy....but why deny people who need it the most to keep them alive?

Why is the prostate cancer survivor continueing to pay premiums while not using medical care? Drop the insurance and do the best you can because insurance companies do not offer decent value for the cost of (limited and arbitrary)coverage. The ball is always in their court.

Like Linda, I have decided to let nature take its course rather than enrich insurance companies, doctors and hospitals. Unlike Linda, I will not go quietly! My death will be as in-your-face to the public, the politicians and the companies as I can make it. I will expire on a busy street in front of cameras or on the floor of the Senate. I will contact Michael Moore. Health care in America is a disgusting travesty!
