PTSD is adrenal gland malfunction (fight, flight responses) creating a liver malfunction. The liver regulates 2000 hormones. It's a imbalanced most likely created by stresses. Medication and alcohol further deterioration the liver, for the liver has to process foreign chemicals (processed food, ethel alcohol, none nourishing foods/drink depleted of enzymes from processing and freezing) in the body as well as our natural hormones.

Balance, mental, physical, spiritual and emotional. Trust your higher power, do your own research on natural remedies. These are my own personal experiences and suggestions.

The military would lose a fifth of its force if everyone with a psych disorder was allowed to stay home. When my unit got deployed in 2003, there wasn't anyone who was going to get out of it. One guy tried to claim conscientious objector status. One guy started smoking marijuana obsessively hoping to get caught and put in the brig. Our commander stopped enforcing discipline because he wanted everyone to be able to deploy. Everyone went except for one soldier who "accidentally" dropped a car on his foot. The units on the ground are stretched so thin, it's in their interest to ignore problems, including mental health problems.
