This is a great theory--I would love to see you actually make it work!!! Please give examples of this monitoring. What do you do when they don't return your calls? How can you check on their grades? class attendance? spending? socializing? I have modeled very responsible behavior for all of my children, and I have totally failed as a parent. I should have drop-kicked them into day care at 6 weeks old like my friends. Now I have no retirement, no 401(k), no seniority and low pay. I don't see any retirement in my future. College do nothing about your concerns or calls.
