Chopin's Hallucinations Likely Caused by Epilepsy

Up to the 1960s, psychiatrists claimed that epilepsy was evidence of a narcissistic disposition bent on pathological criminality. Every time a phony “mental illness” is found to be a real disease, its treatment is taken out of the hands of the quacks and given to real doctors. Don’t fret, though, the quacks are talented at inventing an endless stream of new fake diseases.
