My 78 yr old mother was diagnosed with PD 4 yrs ago along witht his diagnosis doctors found an anursym in her brain that is inoperable. They say its probably been there all her life. My question is would she benefit from deep brain stimulation? Her L-dopa doesn't seem to be working as she suffers from these "spells" where she's in a trance, cant move, cant talk, its almost as if she is paralized. These "spells" are becoming more frequent and are hittting her harder and lasting longer. Sometimes they can last 1 hr up to 8 hrs. The one consistant thing is she gets them EVERY night and has trouble sleeping because of them. Can anyone give me some feedback. I would appreciate it. Thanks,

Her daughter/caregiver,
