I fully agree with John from MD, only accepting Jesus can heal depressed people. Furthermore, I'm right with you in thinking that depressed people who seek medical treatment should go blind, serves them right. I'm sure Jesus would think the same thing, as he tended to rain down judgement on other people, especially those with mental health issues seeking treatment. Oh wait, no he didn't.

He forgave people for their sins and worked with them to make them on the right path. And he hung out with prostitutes, the destitute, and those who were the worst off in society to try to improve their lives. I think that whole episode on the cross was actually to forgive all men's sin, but what do I know? Maybe you can withhold your condemnation of the mentally ill and exercise some REAL Christian values. You know, the ones from Christ.

Depression is not a sin. Christians can get depression from from tragic events or from just low serotonin levels. Medicine, serotonin uptake inhibitors are wise to take for at least 6 months while also looking at areas of your life that needs to be improved and prayer is always wise during these dark days. Depression can best be treated incorporating both spiritual and medicine to treat the low chemical levels in your body and relying on God to carry you during this trying time of your life. Amen. religion has nothing to do with the science of the amount of seratonin produced by the brain. it is ridiculous to say one is going to hell for being depressed and doing something about it.

Clinical depression is life threatening. Treatment is available for cataracts. I suppose the issues need to be carefully weighed on an individual basis, before taking taking antidepressants. The patient and family need to be fully informed.

I have taken antidepressants for twenty-five years. I have always wondered about the long term effects. Last year, I was diagnosed with beginning cataracts. Would I have continued to take antidepressants had I known of the possible consequences? In my case, yes. I have very severe clinical depression. I believe I would be dead by now without the proper medication. I am greatful that meds are available to enable me to live a more normal life.

For John of MD. I am sure Jesus thinks all medicated people should be blind. What a jerk.

My friends depression is caused by Satanic activities and impure thoughts. Only by accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour can the depressed be truly healed. Those on prescriptions in a search for ell-being deserve to be blind
