Pesticides and such poisons considered safe under the FDA regulations contributing to the ADHD in children and adult brain

damage will never get proven - because the testing is not set up to ever find any connection-

You have to figure out what is most likely to kill or hurt you, and start working on that first. ADHD isn't high on the list. Diseases of affluence - too rich nutrition - kill almost all Americans before their time. Todays kids will not live as long as their parents. Reach "The China Study" for more info. There will be no pills to buy. :-)

Here's a site helping us sort out the truth, and the dangers lurking in the food supply. See their Episode 1: Hormones for Fun and Profit. The Game link is very good too. Play: ShoottheBull..

Good for some stress relief.

Thank you for your link to ewg.org. I feel a bit like you saved my family's lives just a little. That sounds rediculous and extreme but for a family riddled with allergies and illness and adhd to boot I have finally realized that I can no longer TALK about going organic. The time has come for action. This latest news confirms.

Research has also shown that exposure to high levels of water causes an increased rate of death! It is called drowning.

Another "research study" done in the name of what? Better health or is it an unbiased view of someone supporting the "organic, hemp based" life style? How about all of the other factors of today's society? Processed foods, preservatives, HFCS, food coloring, BPH plastic, previous generational activities which may have damaged DNA, ie: smoking, drinking etc. How about the lack of exercize and physical stimulation of todays children? Then there is a big no man's land of big pharma. All of the "safe" drugs and vacinations forced on several generations? Most all of the vacines of the 20th century have contained thimersol. It is mercury, an element known to be poisionus and "cause" mental disorders!

I personally come from a long line of farmers and a large family. Over the last 100 years, which coincides with most of the "pesticide" use in agriculture, there was a yearly exposure to a variety of nastyness. Items such as nicotine, paris green, arsenic and lead, DDT, parathion, a variety of organophosphates, copper sulfate and a multitude of others. Believe it or not, we ate our own crops, inadvertantly had skin exposure to many of these posions and actually survived.

Mother and Father have passed away, she at 92 and he at 100+ with no disease or cancers. That leaves the 9 children, 27 grand children, about a dozen greatgrand kids and a few great-great grands. With this toxic back ground one would expect massive mental and physical problems ( if one subscribes to what this article intimates), however that is not the case!

Deaths; brother, complications after surgery at 67--brother, kidney cancer at 65. The rest of us still living, and healthy! That is actual research! That is LIFE EXPOSURE not a re-defination of a labratory experiment on some rats where the "leathal dose 50" is calculated!

I do not prescribe exposure to posions nor do I put my family on a pedestal as "special". I am saying that "research studies" are questionable! There are those who try to put all of humanity into a single square box and we all don't fit! There is always an exception!,(or many) There are no research studies done "for free", there is a dollar involved somewhere.

I applaud educated people but they have to pay bills and carry "baggage" also. Fortunately some of them are so educated that they cannot empty their own garbage can at the end of the day so they provide a job for the lesser educated.

Beware of "Studies" for they may not be right, just ask Galileo and Neuton.

It would be helpful to know if common pesticides such as Round Up by Monsanto are linked to ADHD. If so this would be useful information is putting limits on how that company controls agricultural production methods.

How can you say it is ridiculous to go organic. I get that it is expensive but the cost of not doing so is greater. If you wish to continue to knowingly poison your children then your the ridiculous one.

Angie of TX 11:08AM May 17, 2010

Your headline is an out right lie! Just look at the second paragraph in your article:

"At this point, though, there is no evidence that pesticide exposure can actually cause ADHD, stated the authors of a paper appearing in the June issue of Pediatrics."

I would suggest hat the writer go back to journalism school.

I don't think the researchers assume they're completely and easily solving the problem by pointing out that eating organic is a way to avoid exposure to pesticides. They are contributing information about the links they've observed and adding to a growing body of knowledge. Hopefully, the collective efforts of many researchers and scientists will eventually get us there.

This is yet another reminder there are long term consequences of assuming our food sources are safe to eat. We must be aware and vigilant about what we put into our bodies, and maximize our efforts to insure there are no contaminants, pesticides or poisons put on them or in the water used to grow them or the soil they come from. Think about it. When you go to the grocery store do you usually have any idea where the produce originated from or what pesticides or contaminants were used to grow and transport the produce?

The same issues exist when we are told to consume fish as an excellent source of omega 3, an essential fatty acid so crucial to the brain and in combating inflammatory processes. When you go to the grocery store, do you know what toxins, mercury, lead or other contaminants are in the fish you eat? Next time you go to the market to buy salmon, look to notice the red dye that is used to give it the nice pink color. Yet, your body needs the omega 3, and the brain of children with ADD, ADHD, and autism truly need a pure omega 3 with no contaminants. There is now a safe way to provide what the brain and body needs. Moxx4us.com explains in detail safe alternatives to giving your children and yourself pure whole and complete omega 3 and antioxidant to naturally combat inflammation at the cellular level.
