Antidepressants May Change Your Personality

I have a chronic pain condition brought on by a brain hemmorage and have been taking Paxil for 8 years. It has made my life bearable. Yes, it has made me more optomistic. Prior to taking it I was in a terrible position. I asked my doctor when I had to stop taking it and she said, why would you want to. Paxil has been a life saver for me.

YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME!!! This was printed in a medical journal as research?! The fact is it should have been published as an infomercial.
Anyone who knows anything about mania and the strong potential of SSRI antidepressants to induce mania or hypomania in patients would know that is exactly where the "extroversion" in these patients on Paxil came from! That is why Bipolar Disorder increased 4000% from 1995 - 2004 as the use of SSRI antidepressants skyrocketed in this country!
Pushing someone into mania is NOT therapeutic although drug manufacturers have made a fortune doing exactly that with these drugs for decades.
An ANTI-depressant, or the opposite of a depressant, is a what? That's right, it is a stimulant. And what do stimulants do? They will certainly make someone extroverted. They overstimulate the brain which is what seizure activity is. And mania is a continuous series of mild seizures.
All of us go through this type of continuous mild seizure activity once a day though. We call it REM sleep or dreaming. Is it any wonder the patients on antidepressants report they do not know what is real and what is a dream?! Who wants to walk around in a dream state, yet that is basically what mania is - dreaming on your feet!
Anyone ever heard of the Hypocratic Oath? It is long past time to review it when it comes to prescribing antidepressants!

yeh, they make you extroverted, they also make you want to kill a whole bunch of people then kill yourself, look at all the shootings we've had, every one of them was on a ssri

Just smoke Marijuana.. These pills will kill you.. Weed will not kill you. These pills are just ways to zombie and make people pay for what can be grown for free. Legalize pot already..
