Bipolar Disorder May Be Tied to Body Clock

I think it has been becoming increasingly clear for years that the biologically-based "mood disorders" are, in fact, based on impairment of the brain's clock and its ability to regulate circadian rhythms. When a doctor starts to think of that from that point of view, targeting consistent sleep-quality as the first and primary function to be restored, then a lot of things about this challenging group of illnesses begin to make a lot more sense.
