Hi! my name is Irine Hurt im 26 years old from Memphis,TN and my son Kadai lockett was diagnose with autism when he was 3years old he is now 6. First me and his dad thought he just wasnt talking cause his dad didnt start talking until he was 5 in a half. Then i seat down and thought about it. Kadai was saying his alphabets at 2 and he was counting 1-10 he was already potty train, then when we took him to go get his 2yr old shots my baby just shut down on us. thats when we began to get very afraid crying and starting to take him to doctors seeing whats wrong with him. So when he turn 3 he went to a speech and development doctor and they diagnosed him with artism. and from there they gave me some booklets on autism and that was it i haven't had any help and no way to go about what we just heard but didnt understand. So i start reading books to try and find out more, now Kadai is in kindergarten he still isn't talking he can say a few words but not full sentences he is now potty train and putting on his on cloths sometime with a little help he is very smart and he understands well now. But the question i wont to know is what causes autism was it the shots they gave him? Will my son ever start talking? and can some one give me more imformation on autism and tips that will help my son in his progress.
